Sara and Stephen were a joy to work with from start to finish. They were so relaxed and trusting which for any photographer is a complete treat. The entire day felt very effortless. Nothing was overdone. From the stunning flowers by Fena Flowers, to the stacks of library books each individually covered with sparkly crate paper, to the adorable bridesmaids in their perfectly coordinated color palette. Some of my favorite details from the day were the lovely Kate Spade bangles Sara gave to each of her bridesmaids, the gorgeous wedding...

Jim and Kelsey's wedding was a ton of fun. The day was filled with laughter and hilarious surprises. It was a cold November day but we braved the elements for some lovely portraits on the grounds at Cedarbrook Lodge. I was thrilled to get to share in their big day and had the best time getting to know their lovely families. Congratulations Kelsey and Jim. I wish you many more years filled with love and laughter! Then this happened!! I was laughing so hard I'm surprised I got an in focus...

In a few short hours I'm off to San Fran to shoot a wedding with my dear friend Melanie Duerkopp. I'm so excited to see some friends, and to shoot a beautiful wedding tomorrow! In the mean time here is a sneak peek of Caroline and David's wedding. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! ...

This weekend I shot a wedding at the Space Needle for the very first time. I thought for sure the day was going to be crazy with multiple locations on the schedule, it being a holiday weekend, and to top it off it was Bumbershoot at the Seattle Center. Bumbershoot is a concert series festival with three stages that surround the Space Needle, and is VERY popular with Seattle-ites.  Well to my surprise the day went super smooth, the Bride and Groom were happy and relaxed, and the families southern...

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the wedding this past weekend. I hope everyone has a great week, and I can't wait to see my family on Thursday!!...

On one of my first weddings of the season I had the couple that every photographer dreams of having! Kristie and John are both laid back, genuine, secretly hilarious people, and I spent the whole day in awe of how in love they are. The day started off quiet and reserved, both were a little timid and a little nervous. As the day progressed however the dry humor and the laughter echoed through the halls of Phinney Ridge Presbyterian.  My cheeks hurt by the time we got to the ceremony, and I wasn’t even the one getting my picture taken! Here are some of my favorite images of the day…….

Kristie wore a gorgeous Luly Yang Dress with an amazing bow and vintage broach.

Kristie is a classic beauty, it wasn’t hard to get an amazing shot of her!

Usually the “getting ready” part of a wedding day gives me a clue as to how the day is going to go. It’s either a serene silence of ultimate relaxation, or it’s a giggle fest with every female member of the family. It’s always an interesting dynamic with women right before a wedding, there is usually lots of Champagne on hand:) I love shooting the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready, but most of all I love shooting all the fun details. The dress, the shoes, the jewelry, the makeup…..so fun. Here are some of my favorite detail images from my adventures in the mysterious land called the Bridal Suite.

This year has been an extremely hard year financially for most Americans and as a result Brides and Grooms had to scale back and get more creative with their wedding planning.  As fun as it is to see new and creative low cost ideas come to life I still feel there are a few things that you just can't skimp on. And it was very apparent that the grooms this year agreed with me...
