Andy and Kyndall’s wedding was held at Oak Hill Farm in Georgia on May 25th. It was a day filled with lots of beautiful sunshine which for this Seattle based photographer was a real treat! You could hear the cows mooing in the distant fields and a light breeze would rustle the leaves of the amazing Oak Trees that scattered this magical farm. Both families were involved in making most of the decor for the ceremony and reception and there were so many lovely homemade touches that really made the day feel extra personal. This sweet Southern wedding was a true family affair and was filled with lots of charm and lots and lots of love. Enjoy
Thank you to Wedding Chicks for featuring this on their site today!! Always a thrill!

I don’t second shoot too often anymore, but when my dear friend Melanie Duerkopp calls I can never say no! We’ve been friends since college and even lived together in New York…back in the day when we were conquering the world;) The universe in some way or another draws me to San Fransisco at least once a year so when Mel called about a wedding in Napa last September I of course quickly said…”ok!” Sharon and Kanishk’s day was so beautiful. It was held at the Carneros Inn in Napa, so right off the bat…stunning….then add in details like Sharon’s unbelievable Monique Lhuillier gown and the incredible florals by Emily Dreblow of Soulflower and I was in absolute wedding heaven! Thank you Melanie for having me along, it was such a treat! Check out Grey Likes Weddings for Melanie’s feature of this lovely wedding.

Here in Seattle we get used to rescheduling photoshoots due to rain. Especially when we are planning on being outside for most of the shoot….like on a boat….in the middle of South Lake Union. Well having already rescheduled due to rain once before Sara, Stephen and I decided we were going to go for it despite the rainy day we were given. They were such troopers and luckily I was able to commandeer a boat with a roof. Our captain’s name was Jack….yup Captain Jack…..Sparrow?? At least that’s what we called him all afternoon. He was super nice and gave us a lovely guided tour through the floating homes and even took us by the famous Sleepless in Seattle houseboat. Hot chocolate with diamond ring marshmallows kept us toasty warm and we were greeted by two adorable ducks when we arrived back at the docks. The rain couldn’t dappen our fun afternoon and I think you will see in the images just how in love Sara and Stephen really are. They are practically glowing!
A big thank you to Style Me Pretty who featured Sara and Stephen’s engagement session on their blog last month! Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Kate and Chloe of Fat Cork at a local industry event in Seattle. We talked all things Champagne and how they are opening up Fat Cork’s tasting room to host bridal showers, bridesmaid luncheons, and bachelorette parties. I of course jumped at the chance to photograph the mock bridal shower they wanted to put on to help get the word out to all our fabulous Seattle Brides. Kate and Chloe did a lovely job. Those two sure know their stuff when it comes to Champagne and how to throw a great party! Fat Cork is a lovely space and by the end of the shoot I was literally trying to think up an excuse to have a party there for myself! But do I really need a reason…nope! Seattle Brides and Maids of Honor- Fat Cork’s tasting room is THE best place to celebrate this special and super fun time in one’s life.

It’s always an honor to be chosen to document a couple’s big day, but when a family member comes to you with such enthusiasm and trust to capture such a momentous time in their lives, it makes one feel extra special! My cousin Andy made the incredibly smart decision to ask his longtime girlfriend Kyndall to be his wife this past December, and when she said yes our entire family jumped for joy!! We have all loved Kyndall from the very first time we met her and couldn’t be happier that she is now officially part of the family. Kyndall and Andy were married on May 25th in Georgia and I can’t wait to share all the beautiful pictures from their big day. For now here is their lovely engagement session we did this past March in Charleston.
The super charming Southern wedding blog The Lovely Find was kind enough to feature Andy and Kyndall’s engagement session. To hear how this super cute couple met and how Andy proposed check out the feature here.
