I love my adoptive hometown of Seattle. It’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve lived in, and I’ve lived in a lot of places! It’s an easy place to call home and find daily inspiration.  Last month my sister Mallory and her friend Rachelle came out for a mini vacation from LA. I decided to take them on a perfect first day in Seattle and document it all along the way. Style Me Pretty Living was gracious enough to feature my images and a step by step guide I wrote to all the places I love. Thank you again to all the ladies at SMP! Seeing my work on your blog is always an honor!  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

I love summer nights, especially here in Seattle. It doesn't get dark until almost 10pm and you can smell the cool salty sea air and watch the sailboats sail by. This next week will be filled with a wonderful food shoot, a family portrait session that will no doubt be filled with fun and laughter and a travel feature on the city I adore and call my home. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!  ...

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. My family and I had a blast with friends kayaking, going for walks, riding the water taxi to downtown and grilling out. Here are a few fun images from the weekend. Happy Monday!  ...

Every time I come home to Seattle after being out of town I'm always so overwhelmed with how beautiful our city is. When I pull up in front of our house I sigh with happiness looking at how well my husband's garden is doing and how many flowers have bloomed just in the three days I was gone. This being the first summer in this home we have been pleasantly surprised with what flowers have bloomed and look forward to what our yard has in store for us all season...

Well this is the year I’m finally getting hitched;) It’s also the year I’m hoping to help give out a little hope. This summer I’ve had the great opportunity of joining an amazing team that puts together an incredible event every year called Get Hitched Give Hope (GHGH). This is an event where brides can bid on auction items such as Photography packages, Wedding Planning services, etc. and the proceeds benefit the charity chosen for that year. Wedding professionals donate their products and services to the event, and it’s a great way for the industry to come together as a whole and give back while brides get gorgeous goods. The ladies and gentlemen that run this organization are unbelievably talented and giving and every year they raise SERIOUS money for the charity of their choice. This year they are teaming up with Dream Foundation.

Dream Foundation, founded in Santa Barbara in 1994 by Thomas Rollerson, is the first national wish granting organization for adults suffering life-threatening illness

The mission of the Dream Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for individuals and their families who are battling life-threatening illness.

Dream Foundation helps adults find peace and closure with the realization of a final wish.

Along with an amazing event they host every year with the live auction and ticket sales proceeds going to the Dream Foundation; they also do year long fundraising. That’s where I come in! There are three ways that you can help me raise some money;)

Woke up this morning and got the best doughnuts ever and then went on an awesome hike with Bru and Charlie through Discovery Park. Fantastic way to start the holiday weekend:) Hope everyone has an equally amazing time! ...
