Usually the “getting ready” part of a wedding day gives me a clue as to how the day is going to go. It’s either a serene silence of ultimate relaxation, or it’s a giggle fest with every female member of the family. It’s always an interesting dynamic with women right before a wedding, there is usually lots of Champagne on hand:) I love shooting the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready, but most of all I love shooting all the fun details. The dress, the shoes, the jewelry, the makeup…..so fun. Here are some of my favorite detail images from my adventures in the mysterious land called the Bridal Suite.

Loch Ness (home of the Loch Ness Monster)

For the second installment of my travel series I decided to feature Scotland, my family’s homeland. We visited one of the MacKenzie Castles and the current Head of the MacKenzie Seat in Strathpeffer and then took the train into Edinburgh for a few days. This leg of our trip was truly magical because the scenery was just breathtaking, and then to be able to relate to it as being such a huge part of our heritage, and to share that with my family was really special.
