Lately I’ve been attending some really great networking events here in Seattle, and at one of those events I had the good fortune of meeting personal trainer Kindra Reid. She was looking for some headshots and lifestyle shots for her business. I don’t normally do...

We have some of the best neighbors ever, Taylor and Josh, and they have this cute as a button doggy named Banjo.  We watch Banjo from time to time when Taylor and Josh are out of town, and we LOVE IT! Banjo loves to play...

I had the great pleasure of meeting Melanie Duerkopp's family for the first time last month. Melanie is a wonderful friend from college and was roommates in New York with Justin and I. Her Grandma had come over from Germany for the holidays so Melanie...

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about the pregnancy shoot I did with the Farrell family and I promised a look at their new addition, baby Holden Liam. Holden was born in November and my family and I got to meet Holden over the...

Nothing brings me more joy then when I get to spend time with friends who I don't get to see that often.  Amanda is one of my best friends who I've known for over ten years, and every time I go home to Colorado I...

Last fall I had the great pleasure of taking some pregnancy photos of a close family friend Ashleigh Farrell. It's so fascinating to see my friends and my sibling's friends grow up, get married, and have babies. To take pregnancy portraits of my baby sister's...

I've been taking pictures of my baby sister ever since I had a camera in my hand. It's fun to look back at some of the early shots I took of her and see how much she has grown up.  I loved taking pictures of...

Well here it is. The day has finally arrived. My first blog post, I can hardly believe it. I’ve been so resistant to starting a blog in the past and mainly for the simple reason of “what do I talk about.” I thought I’m not starting a blog until I can sit down and make an un-ending list of things I want to genuinely talk about, discuss, and share.  I’m not the best writer, and the thought of having to be informative and witty on a regular basis was too much pressure. Plus the spell check alone was daunting to me! So what’s changed you say….well not that much but In a years time I’ve somehow found my voice. I thought turning 25 would mean I finally feel like an adult…settled…confident……WRONG. In fact it was quite the opposite. I was in the midst of the grey area, living somewhere I didn’t want to be, not sure which way to dedicate my time career wise. Well a big move later and another year of shooting weddings under my belt, and I feel like I have some clarity. I feel “at home” and inspired here in Seattle and I finally find myself ready to share.
