I was in California this past weekend shooting a wedding with my friend Melanie, which was so spectacular and I'm excited to share all the amazing images. Until then I thought I'd share my images from my day in San Francisco. I had 24 hours in this incredible city and man did I see and do it all! Melanie is a great host and made sure I got the true San Fran experience:) From the cable car to china town, from dinner in the Mission, to ice cream at the...

Last spring I received a really great opportunity. I was asked by my friends at Seattle Magazine to shoot the imagery for the 2010 Seattle Urban Pages directory. I was in charge of shooting 90% of the imagery (excluding the ads) which was a massive undertaking, but I was able to experience Seattle in a whole new way. The directory is a resource guide to all things wonderful that you can only find in Seattle; from food, to shopping, restaurants, to attractions. Seattle is comprised of lots of little neighborhoods...

When I was Colorado last month my family and I spent a day hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. We decided to hike to Alberta falls and I of course had my camera on hand:) It was an absolutely stunning day! My mom and dad at the top of the falls:) Dad hanging out at the top:) Yes, this is my hilarious family;) Mal and I stopped and decided we needed to have a "senior portrait" moment...

Lots of my friends have babies and toddlers and I love spending time with them and seeing how much of my friend is apart of them. They are all beautiful children who I love photographing, and seeing them grow and learn is truly fascinating.  However, I have a confession, never have I been so inspired to have children of my own then when I am with Eli.  As mentioned in some previous posts Eli is the son of Jaime and Jeremy Riddle who are my parent's neighbors and our adopted...

This weekend I shot a wedding at the Space Needle for the very first time. I thought for sure the day was going to be crazy with multiple locations on the schedule, it being a holiday weekend, and to top it off it was Bumbershoot at the Seattle Center. Bumbershoot is a concert series festival with three stages that surround the Space Needle, and is VERY popular with Seattle-ites.  Well to my surprise the day went super smooth, the Bride and Groom were happy and relaxed, and the families southern...

This past spring I had an amazing opportunity to work as a Photo Editor Intern under Seattle Bride Magazine's Art Director Alicia Nammacher and Editor and Chief Sally Farhat Kassab. It was a wonderful experience getting to work with these ladies and their team. I did image collection and selection for some of the major features of the Fall/Winter 2010 issue. This issue was incredibly special to work on for two reasons; one it was Sally's first issue as Editor and Chief, and two it was the "Best of Bride"...

When I was home in Colorado earlier this month I had the great pleasure of attending Traci Remley's baby shower:) Traci is a childhood friend of mine who I hadn't seen in about eight years.  Other than the fact that she had a different last name and a baby bump she looked and acted exactly the same as the Traci I knew so many years ago. Walking into her parents home in Sedalia I was flooded with memories and tried my darnedest not to start tearing up from happiness and...

Every time I go home to CO I make sure to see one of my dearest and closest friends Amanda. Amanda and I are both creatives and I'm always blown away when I walk into her home. There are always new treasures she has either made by hand or found in some obscure antique shop. We have such similar taste that I literally feel like I'm shopping when I go to her house...

So my amazing web designer and developer, Creation-1, just added a cool feature to my website. The home page now features a running slide show of some of my favorite wedding images. Underneath there is a section for clients, fans, family, etc...

I got to see my baby sister last week and it was a wonderful unexpected treat:) It was a very last minute trip home to Colorado, but every time I see my sis I ALWAYS make time to take some pictures of her...
