Two days before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing Jon and Susan in my hometown of Littleton, CO. Jon is a childhood friend of mine and when he asked if I would photograph his wedding I couldn’t have been more excited! Jon and Susan met while attending the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and I CAN’T WAIT for their wedding there this July!

I was thrilled when Jon mentioned he was going to be bringing Susan to Colorado for Christmas and decided to hop on a plane and fly to Denver to photograph their engagement session. We were given such a beautiful snowy day as our backdrop…a little cold…but so worth it! I have a friend who lives on a magical piece of property up Deer Creek Canyon and was incredibly thankful she allowed us to shoot up there. Jerry Lee her German Shepherd decided to join in on our fun, as well as a few looky-loo deer! Jon and Susan are such a great match…let’s just say I didn’t have to coach them on when to kiss and when to smile…they did lots of that all on their own.

I feel beyond lucky to call these two friends and I’m so humbled to document such a special time in their lives!

Here are a few of my favorites from their session and you can also check out their feature on Style Me Pretty here.

When I was back home in Colorado this past October I got to take some fun family photos of one of my favorite families EVER! My parents neighbors and close friends the Riddles have become like family over the years, and their little boy Elijah is one of the cutest muffins around:) There is this magnificent old barn that is right next to their neighborhood, that you might recognize from this post I did a while back. I thought it would be the perfect backdrop for their portrait session. My...

I got to see my baby sister last week and it was a wonderful unexpected treat:) It was a very last minute trip home to Colorado, but every time I see my sis I ALWAYS make time to take some pictures of her...

I had an absolutely wonderful time being home in Colorado last week, and I can't wait to share all the fun pictures I took! My trip was filled with family, friends, baby bumps, babies, puppies, squirrels and even a donkey! Can you imagine:) It was so great to see my parents and my sister again, we've been lucky enough to see each other quite a bit this year, and I always take the opportunity to snap a few pictures of my GORGEOUS sister. Over the next few weeks I will...

Woke up this morning and got the best doughnuts ever and then went on an awesome hike with Bru and Charlie through Discovery Park. Fantastic way to start the holiday weekend:) Hope everyone has an equally amazing time! ...

The past few days I've been in Colorado, and one of the main reasons for my visit was to celebrate the graduation of my dear friend Amanda from college.  She is now a licensed social worker, and I couldn't be more proud of her!!! The ceremony was held at 9am Sunday morning and it was a glorious day! The weather was stunning and Amanda was beaming with pride as she walked across the stage. Her family, my family, and I couldn't stop smiling...

Ever since I had a camera in my hand I've been obsessed with taking pictures of trees. Here are a few of my favorite trees from some of my favorite places in the country and beyond. Happy Monday. Hampton Court, England and Breckenridge, CO Central Park, Manhattan and Strathpeffer, Scotland Colorado:) My new home...

Nothing brings me more joy then when I get to spend time with friends who I don't get to see that often.  Amanda is one of my best friends who I've known for over ten years, and every time I go home to Colorado I try to see her and her wonderful family. Over Christmas I was able to drive down to Castle Rock to see her and David's new home, and of course take some pictures of their "cute as a button" son Tre.  Tre is the type of...

Two years ago my family moved an hour north from Littleton to Boulder, CO to be closer to my dad's new offices. They live in a great new community and quickly found that they have wonderful new neighbors. One set of those neighbors are Jamie and Jeremy Riddle who where recently blessed with the arrival of their baby boy Elijah. When I was home for the holidays I got to finally meet the Riddle family and their beautiful baby boy! You would never know that they are first time parents...
