While my family was in town this month I decided it would be fun to all go to a pumpkin patch. We hadn't gone to a pumpkin patch or carved pumpkins in years, (in fact we don't normally see each other in the month of October) so this was a particular treat for the McKenzie family:) We went to Bob's Farm in Snohomish, WA and had an absolute ball! It rained the entire time, but that didn't stop us. We had a great time stomping through the mud to pick...

It was a beautiful August day, perfect for a lakeside wedding at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland. Cody and Brittany were both cool, calm and collected but I could see in their eyes this almost uncontainable excitement. I've never meet two people who are so comfortable in their own skin...

I know I have lots of posts to catch up on but I just HAD to share an image from the amazing engagement session I did with Courtney and Jaime this weekend.  Talk about a couple who are madly in love! This is the last shot of the day and probably one of my all time favorite shots...

Anyone who knows me well knows that the fall is my all time favorite season. I get very nostalgic this time of year with the holidays right around the corner. I love the leaves changing, the cool crisp weather, caramel apples, cider, pumpkin carving...

Here is a tiny sneak peek of Jenn and Brett's San Luis Obispo wedding last weekend. Jenn taking my picture;) Mel and I had an amazing time shooting this gorgeous couple. The whole bridal party and the families where so incredibly nice and welcoming, and we couldn't have asked for a more amazing Bride and Groom! The full wedding will be posted in the near future:) Cheers!...

I was in California this past weekend shooting a wedding with my friend Melanie, which was so spectacular and I'm excited to share all the amazing images. Until then I thought I'd share my images from my day in San Francisco. I had 24 hours in this incredible city and man did I see and do it all! Melanie is a great host and made sure I got the true San Fran experience:) From the cable car to china town, from dinner in the Mission, to ice cream at the...

In a few short hours I'm off to San Fran to shoot a wedding with my dear friend Melanie Duerkopp. I'm so excited to see some friends, and to shoot a beautiful wedding tomorrow! In the mean time here is a sneak peek of Caroline and David's wedding. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! ...

Last spring I received a really great opportunity. I was asked by my friends at Seattle Magazine to shoot the imagery for the 2010 Seattle Urban Pages directory. I was in charge of shooting 90% of the imagery (excluding the ads) which was a massive undertaking, but I was able to experience Seattle in a whole new way. The directory is a resource guide to all things wonderful that you can only find in Seattle; from food, to shopping, restaurants, to attractions. Seattle is comprised of lots of little neighborhoods...

When I was Colorado last month my family and I spent a day hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. We decided to hike to Alberta falls and I of course had my camera on hand:) It was an absolutely stunning day! My mom and dad at the top of the falls:) Dad hanging out at the top:) Yes, this is my hilarious family;) Mal and I stopped and decided we needed to have a "senior portrait" moment...
